RESULT! OF A. RE-COUNT. Suspecting there was something wrong one of the ' unsuccessful candidates at the Danevirko School Committee election wrote to, the chairman of thecommittee asking for a recount of the voteshcast in the election. . His request waSwmplied with, with, the following result:— * . ■
•It is said thit the papers amid not have . been tampered with since the election, although two of the. scrutineers are;, prepared .to. make affidavits as to the correctness of their count. The whole affair is most extraordinary and the Education Board of 'he district is to he asked to .salve the ' ‘ , Saturday’s issue of the Waikato -Times* states.* The result of the election for the H limltofn West school; was a ■ bit 'of a surprise, but the defes ted candidates -evidently did not think it worth while to call for a re«couh*» as in the case of the above.’ \ r
