ATTENTION!

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I should feel very much obliged if you could enlighten me about one of the events that took place at the Volunteer sports .on November 9th, 1897. Amongst the various prizes to be given was a cup to the winner of the highest number of points in the 100, 200 and 440yds. Now could you tell me what has become of the Cup ? or why has it not been presented to the winner ? Trusting that the Sports Committee, or those who took the matter in hand, will make some effort to see that this prize is handed over to its present would-be holder and save any further remarks.—l am, etc., A. Volunteer. To Aroha, May 11, 1898. v [This will be inquired into. Ed News.] V ; '
