It was there all the time.’ ‘M a, is there any ;pie left in; the pantry?’ ‘There is One piece, hut you can’t have it.’ ‘ You are mistaken, ma, I’v6 had it.’ < Doctor/ said the sick man’s wife, ‘do you think there is any hope for him?’ •ti /‘Well/ replied the disgusted physician, as he put on his gloves, 4 1 heard him tell the nurse that he’d be dashed • if he would take any more medicine.’
