Sir, —Your To Aroha West corres ponderit was eviden ly not at the school‘on Monday last, or he would of opinion being divided re removing the school, as at that meeting only two votes in favor of rempval were recorded.. As is tveilknown it is proposed to remove the-school 2J miles from the present site, although 50 children live within three;miles of the school, and some ,40 chiidren’ near the site for the Manawaru school, and no doubt both schools will largely increase in attendance- as new settlers come to thAdistrict, but if the Board remove the school;, many will prefer to live in - town ; and-, let . settlement alone rather thau ask their children to walk 8 or 9 -miles every day on back block roads;-AI aiaij Ate.?"'' ■- r ; 4 ’ - % - : T.
