There is no man with whom the theatrical and theatre-going public of Australasia are better acquaintecHthaq Mr Dan Barry, the popular actor-man-ager of the Alexandra Theatre, Melbourne. Recently one of our representatives paid a visit to him at his office, and he corteously granted a request for a few minutes conversation. ‘ My life has been a varied one, said Mr Barry, * and there are but few cities and towns in Australia I have not.visit* d A theatrical manager has much to do mentally, and as. a.result I commenced to feel the strain some, two years ago. Frequently I felt, mentally, and physically, quite exhausted. I was also affected with neuralgia in my head, which often seriously interfered with my duties. At ninht my sleep was restless and of no recuperative benefit, and my Illness codmienced to tell on me so seriously that I consulted a medical man. He told me that my system had run dewn, and that I wanted a tonic. He gave me some pretty extensive medical advice, which developed into a large-sized bill. I would not have had auy objection to the bill had I re ceived any benefit ; but Ih id not; so I tried a second medical man, with no belter result then the consoling information that my euideiit state of debility and want of tone required me to take aii extensive rest This rest was, of course, an impossibility.- Noticing my indisposition, a fellow-professional suggested I should try Dr Williams’ Pink Pslls. *• 1 followed his advice, and purchased a supply. After using these pids for six weeks I found.myself free from all signs of debility and its attendant ills, and fully recovered in spirits and health ; Jit short, ‘ Richard was himself again.’ - , - • ‘ And you reemmend them.? ■ * Yes, I do.
