The Oyster Season.

The Collector of Customs has received fhe following notification by telegram, viz.:— £ It has been decided to open oyster beds in Auckland and Great Barrier sub-divisions of Auckland oyster fishery, and to close Whangarei subdivision, whole of Northern oyster fishery, and Tau-ranga oyster fishery will be closed, as also Manakau Harbour, except leased beds, which will be open. Hokianga land Kaipara Harbours remain open.” This means that all the Hauraki Gulf will be opened on and from the Ist of April next.
