The Te Aroha West Creamery and District Picnic is-the heading given to a notice which appears elsewhere in ! these columnsi The picnic was spoken of a couple of weeks or so ago by the | creamery manager, Mr Whitburn, and judging by the amount of enthusiasm already displayed, fine weather is all ; that is required to ensure the success l of the undertaking. Two meetings have been held, and a strong com- ! mittee formed to make arrangements for time, place, and catering. It was decided to hold the picnic next Thurs- : day in Mr Jackson’s charminglysituated paddock, just opposite the creamery, the catering to be left to the ladies of the district. Should the day be fine it {is expected that fully 200? people will be present, representing about 32 suppliers It is a matter for congratulation to. Mr Whitburn, as the arranging for this picnic proved the friendliness which exists between himself and the suppliers.
