A whole, day match commenced on* Saturday between the above elevens in the* presence of a fair- sprinkling of spectators.. As will be* seen from the subjoined scores. Te Aroha went , in, first, and were all’ out for a score of 90.. They shaped well and the hopes of the followers of the home eleven rose high when the Thames players, were all dismissed for S9i In their second innings the visitors collared the Te Aroha bowling* and our boys were kept busy leather hunting.. After making 86 for 6 wickets Thames declared their innings ended, Te Aroha then went in, but it was the Thames boys’ day out and they would take nodenia’.. They appeared to. be able te d’o what they liked with the k°me batsmen, four wickets going do*n m one over,, to. the disgust of the spectators. A ‘ funk’ was speedily established and all Te Aroha was out for the insignificant total of 37, ROVERS
