Sir,' —As you seem to be in doubt as to the premises rented from me (as agent for owner) by Dr Smith, I trust you will permit me.-the, privilege of an explanation through your valuable paper. The premises rented to Dr Smith are those lately occupied by Mr Crombie, photographer, fronting to Whitaker street only, and not as you say, corner of Rojleston and. Whitaker, streets, opposite Mr O’Meagher’s Hotel. The premises facing Mr G’Meagher’s Hotel are occupied by me, aud although there seems to be an impression, .abroad- -that- I have left, or intend to leave, T wish to state through-your paper, that suchan impression never originated from me. My lease of the premises has still 13 months to run, and, up to the present, I have never had the slightest 1 intention of foregoing the same,—Yours, etc. Wit. E. Whiteley.
