Waitoa Road Board.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Boad took place in the Board’s office last Saturday. Present: Messrs W. P. Chepmell (in the chair), J. Ilorrell, M. O’Donoghue and A. Aitken. :• A letter was received from Mr Jno., McCaw, and one from Mr F. W. Burnett, in reference to repairs on roads at Richmond. It.was resolved that the. Engineer inspect the roads mentioned and report to the Board at next meeting. r A letter was received from S. Y. Knight, asking for some repairs on road near his place at Manawaru. ■ It was resolved that the Engiheer get the work done. Two letters were received from Mr W. A. Murray, in reference to a road to a named ‘Mount Pleasant,’which he sold some months ago to Messrs M. and M. Rohan. There'is no road to the property.; The Rohanji, however, have reported to the Boartl that they were led to believe there was such. They appliedto the Board to lay off a road to give them access to ther property and Mr -Murray is very anxious for the Board to do so. The Board, however, declined to open up the road asked for and the Cierk"was instructed to inform Messrs Rohan to that effect. The following accounts were passed for payment. G. Dovey, £1; A.
