MONTHLY MEETING.
The ordinary mouthy meeting of the Piako County Council was held in the Council Chambers, Morrinsville, on Thursday, 17th October, 1895. To,Dennis .Murpfiy, asking him to remove fences from /public road,Mr Murphy replied that, he would attend to the matter during the next winter. From Geo. Constable Wild repfortedon themattbr and said that he had had cause to com plain, the slaughter-house had not been kept clean,.and that there was an accumulation of offal and manure.
Cr Herrios said the pigs being - kopt .on the ; lake enclosure was. a great nuisance. /; »
The Cliairmah moved-and Cr Herries seconded, that unless. Messrs Roberts and Rowe take steps to at onco obviate all cause of complaint, the Council will have to consider the refusal bf the license. ■ Curried. -■ On the motion of the" Chairman it was resolved that the Receiver. of Goldfields- Revenue be notified that Mr Adams’ rents were |till unpaid. . Cierk Matamata Road Board re the stopping of the Wuharoa Cemotry road in the Wairere survey dis trict.
Resolved that the action of the ratepayers of the Matamata’distrizit re the stopping of the road be confirmed. Resolved that Foremafi/Wuttamfbe empowered to -employ a man where required till meeting of Cduncil. Soyeral complaints have been made about pigs trespassing on the roads/ ‘Mr Gavin/ said he kn/w the ; pigs were a nuisance at Waiorongomai.' The clerk w r as instructed to write to their owners. . •/

I was decided to call tenders for t hese works, same to be addressed to tbe 'Clerk, and opened by Cra Gavin and Herries on Saturday, November 2nd. Resolved that the specifications be approved, and tenders called for formation on the Thames-Waikato road returnable, on Saturday, - November 2nd; and opened by Crs Hodgson, Herries, and Gavin. > T; ■ ,/f\
