CONSTERNATION IN SYDNEY. Sydney, September 16. The imposition of a duty in New Zealand on fruit has caused conster nation among local fruit importers. A preliminary meeting was held to-day to consider the matter, And a deputation will probably wait on the Government to-morrow to urge them to use their influence against the immediate levying of the duty. /a • RESCUE AT SEA ■ / CREW OF THE PRINCE OSCAR Melboo-rnk, September 15. The ship Dharwar has, arrived from London.; After .passing Cape of Good Hope she picked up ai boat containing several mob" belonging to, the ship Prince Oscar, which London cables recently advised wjas sunk by colliding with an unknown vessel. The unfortunate mariners had been in tho boat for several days, and suffered
great hardships.' The Dharwar nailed a passing: ship;by'/which. those rescued wer£'forwarded to London.
The boat picked up by the Dharwar contained the captain, first and second officers, carpenter, two seamen, and two of the boys of the Prinpe Oscar.
