MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the above . Bell and a number of residents at the South end of the town, asking that a ; lamp be placed near the South-wost corner of the - Domains; g Gqm Hetherington moved, and Com ;Bindley seconded, the request bohranted. —Carried. From tne Postal Department, stating that the population of Te Aroha.; is hot sufficient to Warrant a postal delivery.. It was resolved that the Clerk should write to Hon Cadman, calling Ms : attention; to the matter. Royceoit’s Contract.—Com Gavin drew the attention of the Board to the fact that the contract had not been carried out. Com Hotchin said that the metal had been broken and he asked Com'Hetherington to go with him to measure it but he would not .go, consequently the m.etal is lying in Mr Roycroft’s paddock now. .-, v Com Hetherington paid his reason for not’going to measure the . was that he intended to resign, his position on the "Works Committee. Com Hetherington then resigned his office as a member of the Works Committee. Com Gavin moved, and Com Bradley seconded, that his resignation be accepted.—^Carried. Com Hetherington moved, and Com Gavin seconded, that the Chairman continue correspondence with Mr' Mueller, Commissioner of CroWn Lands, re the Town Board gravel pit,.
