ACCIDENT AT PAEROA.

Paeroa, Last Night. Ax old man named Chris. Casey, employed on the Crown Company’s tramway, met with a most painful accident this morning, resulting in a severe fracture of the right arm above the elbow, also three ribs, in addition to severe cuts and bruises on his hands and legs. It appears that a /truck of Woodstock ore. happened to get off the line, and Casey, in assisting to readjust the truck, used an iron lever. ■Unfortunately, however, just as the .truck was righted, and before Casey could get out of the way the horse attached to the truck started off, and the lever, striking the old man, threw him right among the trucks, with the result above stated. He was conveyed to Mr Shepherd’s hotel, and subsequently attended to by Dr Forbes. The sufferer is now doing as well as can be expected, everything possible being done for him by the Crown officials.
