Hot Springe. •TE AROHA HOT SPRINGS. AS a SUMMER RETREAT not one among the SANATORIA of New Zealand is so rapidly becoming famous TE AROHA. These Waters are all feebly alkaline- and B trongly charged with carbonic acid gas,, which is constantly escnp.ng from the Springs . in large quantities. The Lithia, a valuable constituent of these Waters, is present in n , appreciable quantity. The Analysis shov these Springs to be Very similar in compoai tion. These Mineral Waters are exceedingly interesting, and will prove of great vain medicinally. They closely resemble sorqe tbeEuropeaii Mineral Springe no justly brated, more especially those oi Vichy, Ems andFachingen. Their Curative Value will be greatest in Rheumatic and Artinitic Diseases, Calculus, Affections of the Sidneys, and Dy?pepia. You may rest assured that all you fan do for your Springs in the shape of improving ihe facilities for their use, is entiiely justified by the character of the water," IMPORTANT TESTIMONY AS TO ' VALUE OF THE BATHS, &c. Holloway, Manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Nelson: “I feel I ought to place on record my high appreciation l of the waters of your justly famous baths For many months past I have suffered from a severe attack of sciatica and lumbago, ending latterly in complications of scarcely less painful nature. After about a month’s residence at Te Aroha, I am thankful to say I can move about with considerable ease, while the pain from which I have suffered so long has almost left me. It will be my pleasure as well as my duty to recommend all my. friends who may be in search of health’ to try the waters of Te Aroha. ■
Eeom Captain T,Fbasee, M.L.C. Dunedin “ I pleased if you will jve me an opportunity of publicly expressingmy opinion of the Te' Aroha Springs. Since my residence at Te Aroha, from what I have seen anaheard, I am convinced that these springs contain extraordinary, curative properties, tor the following complaints : Suppressed gOur, rheumatism in all its forms, dyspepsia, and cutaneous disorders; and as the springs are proved to contain heavy traces of lithiarthey must be effiacicus in renal complaints. Wherever I .go I shall, in the interests of humanity, mate known the special virtues of the Te Aroha Spriners.” .Fboji Mr Balfour, Manager of the Bank ofN.Z., Napier. “ I wish to testify to> the very great relief I have experienced from using the Te Aroha hot baths. I have been subject for many years to rheumatism, and in April last had a very severe attack, whic r proved obstinate to shake off, and after trying vainly many'remedies, was ordered to the hot springs. When I arrived at Te Aroha T was suffering much from rheumatism, which prevented my sleeping at-night,-and made walking during the day a difficulty ; but from using No. 2 bath for a little over three weeks the pains have entirely left my head, and do not give any uneasiness in my feet; in fact, I may safely and truly say that at present I am complexly cured and greatly improved in health. - De W, B, Ebson of..
