DEATH OF THE BAILIFF Invercargill, Monday. Hugh .Stewart, the victim of the the shooting outrage at Balfour, died at Riversdale to-night. John Me Keown, who was before the Court to-day and remanded, will now be charged with wilful murder. It |is stated that Middlemass, the S.M. Court bailiff, seized two of McKeown’s horses on Friday night, and being fired at by him abandoned them and got Stewart with {him on the fatal errand on Saturday. 1
