TRAVELLING JURIES IN CANADA
The travellig dairy is a successful feature of Ontario, agHculture. The Ontario Government’s latest departure is to send out a travelling spraying outfit in charge of experts; who visit all sections- of ’the province, giving practical instruction in the art of spraying.. Two or three year ago th e Ontario Government took in hand to improve the cheese-making industry. They gave aid to cheese factories, and the result has been that an immense export trade in cheese has been built up, reaching over £3,000,000 per' annum. A few years ago this trade was a minus quantity. They have instituted a vigorous campaign to enlarge the butter trade, and now comes an attempt to improve the apple crop. Ontario is a wideawake agricultural community, and New Zealand will do well to take example' therefrom in more subjects than dairying.
