AN EXTRAORDINARY ACCIDENT

An extraordinary accident befell Miss Ivy Jordan, of Tanranga. The young lady was visiting Mrs Cruder Roberts at Judea, and, on leaving, got on the rail of a well to get on her horse. The cover of the well gave way, and the lady was precipitated into the water at the bottom, a distance of 72 feet. She sustained herself in the water until Assistance was procured, about 20 minutes later, and she was hauled out without having apparently suffered the slightest injury.
