FOOTBALL MEETING.
A meeting of all those interested in the formation of a Football; Club took place in the Town Hall on Saturday - - evening last, . There were between twenty and thirty present. After a short discussion it was decided to form a club for the coming'season. The following .officers, were elected : Patron : Hon A. J. Cadman; President :F. PavittEscp; J.P.; Vice-Presi-dents: Messrs Gavin, G. Lipsey, A. W. Edwards, O’Meagher, Bradley, Knock, Hotchin, Smardon, Gallagher, and Schultz; Captain, Mr J. Rennick; YiciwCaptain Mr Gregory; Secretary . and Treasurer, Mr F. D. Woods; Delegate, Mr H;. Poeock. It was resolved to join the Ohinemuri Rugby Union, some 50 members being sent down by the Secretary to be registered. T' The colours of the Club remain as' in former years, viz.; blue and white, and the subscription was fixed at 2s. All members to pay their entrance fee to the Secretary before the end of the present month. , _ - A meeting of the 2nd fifteen was also held in the Hall, there was a vary good muster. The following were ' elected :—Captain, H. Flafct; ViceCaptain, J. Lavery; Secretary, H. Hirst. A Committee was Also elected to make arrangements for matches, etc. *
