G. JOHN ON’S, ’ 4 - - . Manager. Auckland, 9th May, 1895. At Bemuera, .on Thursday', dairy cows near calving .were required and sold freely. Prices ranged from £5 12s 6d to <£7 Kjs; backward springers, £3 to j£4. Store cattle in full numbers fold more freely than for some time; 3 year old steers ranged up to £3 17s 6d; heifers, <£3 10s calves, 255. Young fat calves, less number- than usual, at late values. Pat cattle, full supply, 213 sold, scarcely kept last week’s values, and ranged from 17s to 19s the 1001 b. Sheep in average number, 1160 sold. Fat sheep were slightly better worth; fat wethers ranged up to 13s 3d; ewes, 10s 9d each. Lambs in moderate number, 74 sold, brought .from 6s to 6s each. Pigs in full numbers, .460 sold/ were freely competed for throughout, and young pigs were better worth. / THAMES CATTLE MARKET. . At Fleming’arid Co.’s weekly sale of fat cattle which was held on the Bth ins fc., at. .their yards, Pavawai, Thames, they report: Prime steer beef sold equal to 18s per TOO lbs, and cow beef equal, to 17s per .1.0011 s Sheep.and lambs sold as follows: Wethers 14s to 16s; ewes 6s 6d to 9s Gd, rnd lambs JBs 6d. ,
