WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Waitoa Road Board took place in the Board’s office last Saturday. Present: Messrs W. P. Ohepmell (in the chair), J. Horrell, W. Main, and M. O’Donoghue.
Mr Main reported that he and Mr Horrell received tenders as under on the 10 th April, 1895 -
For contract on road from Morrinsville to woolshed hill: W. Stanley, £32 10s ; D Bell, £24 15s ; L. Warren, £36 ; Burtt and Co., L 4 3; L. B. Ewen, L 3 5; 0. Crouch, L 37 7s ; J. Orr, L3O ; P. O’Grady, L 27 ; O. Me Cabe, L 24 10s (accepted). For. the gravel contract, at per yard: L. Warren, 2s 6d; C.Crouch, 2s lid; J. Orr, 2s 4d ; P. O’Grady, 25.5 d ; P. Baine, 2s 9d; O. McCabe, 2s 9^d; L. B. Ewen, 2s' (accepted).
The action of Messrs Horrell and Main was appx’oved.
Tenders were received on Saturday for tho following contracts : The Ngutumanga Outfall : IC. Gleazer, £47 ; P. A. Swney, £32 15s 6d (acf cepted). ; Forming Bailey’s road: W. Thomson, £29 17s ; W. J. McCormick, £2l ; P. O’Grady, £2O; jas. McCall, £lB 10s 7d; T. Roebuck, £1,8; Jus. Orr, £l6; L. B. Ewen, £1.5 15s (accepted). Taylor’s Road drain : P. A. Swney, £3 17s; P. O’Grady, £3 17; T» Taylor, £6 ; T. Roebuck, £3,12s (accepted). ■ Work on Kereone road: 'D. .Bell, £l4 9s 6d ;K. Gleazer, *£l4 8s; P. A. Swney, £l2 4s (accepted). After attending to a good deal of other business the following accounts were passed for payment: C. Thaxter, £1 -Is; J. Ryan, £2; L.Warren, 10s ; R. Parr, 12s 6d; J. Lavefy, £4 6s ; D. Bell, £5 4s; W. Thomson, £2 3s 4d; P. Hei’bert, £2 ; W. Hogan, £2 10s ; T. Roebuck, £6 9s ; Engineer in Chief, 12s ; A Bremner, £5 17s sd; P. Baine, £1 9s 2d; F, Pavitt, £3 15s; P. Gilchrist, £2 le 6d; W. P. Chepmell, 11s 6d.
