SUEYEY DISPUTE THE NATIVES IN EXPLANATION . NO FURTHER RESISTANCE .3 Auckland, Monday. The armed force arrived at Ruatohi last night, and found the natives in the centre of the settlement waiting thekorero. In reply to Inspector Hickson, the natives said they stopped the survey because they had not made application for the survey. Some of the speakers regarded the survey as the thin end of the wedge. Inspector Hickson explained that the survey was simply to define the block that the natives may bring applications for subdivision into the Land Court. .. ■■■■ - ,
