THE WESLEYAN CONFERENCE
Nelson, Saturday. The Conference resumed in ministerial session this morning, and after devotional exercises, and some routine work, the question of the examination of probationers for the ministry was considered. The reports of the Boards of Examiners were read by the President of the Conference, who is himself the general secretary to the Board, and the following passed in their year : —-The Keys H. Peryman, G. Frost, C. 0. Harrison, W. Elliott, W. Dowson,. H. Bellhouse, and 0. Porter The Eevs W. Smith and W. Judkins were notified to take back their papers on account of ill-health. It was resolved that the Eev Samuel King, who has travelled ono year in the Maori work, be passed in his examination, and continued in his work. Titikiri Heretini was received as a student for the native ministry. The Conference then adjourned, the Stationing Committee to meet at nine o’clock on Monday, to prepare the third draft of the stations, and the Conference to meet in ministerial session at eleven o’clock, and consider and adopt the third and final list of the stations of ministers for the next year.
