Taylor, T: Taylor, Bowler, Clough, Borrie, Bossons,' Burke, Gilchrist, Jackson, W. Hetheyington, Ross, F. Strange, C. F. Spooner, Hotchin, McKenzie, Hansen, Hawkins, Rev Evans and Mrs Blencowe. The long-looked-for show in connection with the above Society took place in the Public Hall on Thursday last. The weather during the day was all that could be desired. From early morning Te Aroha presented quite a lively appearance, with buggies and other vehicles plying to the Hall with exhibits, etc. The committee of management showed great taste in the manner in which the exhibits were displayed,' which presented quite a bright and attractive appearance. Punctually at 3 p.m. the President, W. S. Allen Esq., of Annandale, opened the show with a few wellchosen remai-ks. He congratulated those who had the working-up of the show, on the manner in which they had fulfilled their duties, the result of which could be seen by glancing around. He spoke of the splendid exhibits shown, and hoped that the show would be an annual occurrence. At 3.80 o’clock most of those present wended their way towards the Public Pound to witness the Jumping Competition. During the evening a number of those .present very kindly came forward and assisted towards the enjoyment of the show in the way of singing solos, etc., and were listened to attentively and warmly applauded. The Band also played several selections during the evening which were highly appreciated.
