MAIDEN PLATE HANDICAP of lOsovs; second horse to receive one guinea out of the stake. Distance, 7 furlongs. For all horse 9 who have never won an advertised race over lOsovs. Nomination, 5s ; acceptance, ss. 3. TEAROH A JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP of 50sovh, second horse to receive 5 sov.outof the stake. The winner of any Race of 25 sovs, or over, alter the declaration of weights, to curry a penalty of 7 lbs. Distance, one mile and a-half. Nomination, 25a ; acceptance, 255.
4. PONY HANDICAP, of 10 sovp, second horse to receive l sov out of the stake. Distance, 6 furlongs. Nomination, 5s ; acceptance, ss. For all ponies 14.2. and under. . • . 5. FLYING STAKES HANDICAP, of 20 80V8, second horse to receive 3 guineas out of stake. Distance, seven furlongs. Nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 108. The winner of Te Aroha Jockey Handicap to carry a penalty of 5 lbs. 6. HACK RACE, of 10 eovs, second hack to receive 2 sovs out of the stake. For hacks that have never won an advertised race. 9st up. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance fee, 10s. 7. PUBLICAN’S PURSE HANDICAP, of 16 sovs, second horse to receive 3 sovs out of the stake. Distance. 1 mile. Nomination, 8s; acceptance, Bs. The winner of Flying Stakes to carry a penalty’ of 5 lbs. 8. FORCED HANDICAP, of 9 sovs, second horse to receive 1 sov out of the stake. Distance, 1 mile. Forced for winners, optional for losers. Nomination, 5s ; acceptance, 4s.
CONDITIONS. : Weights will appear on or about THURSDAY. February 28. Entries for Hack Race and acceptances for all Handicaps to be made before 7 p.m. on March 6th. _ The age' and pedigree of Horses, and their Performance must be sent in addressed'to the Secretary, with nominations. In the event of Horse-owners not complying with this rule they will be subject to disqualification by the Stewaids.. . All protests must be made in writing to the Secretary within ten minutes after the Race, accompanied by £1 lf>, which shall be forfeited to the Club, if the Protest is dismissed. The Stewards decision to be final. , , . . The Colours of Riders must be sent in with Entries. Jockeys not riding in the colours entered will be fined £l * B, No nomination or acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever, after the hour named, or without being nccouv panied by the necessary amount in cash.
