CORRESPONDENCE.
[Under no circumstances whatever is the Editor responsible for matter contained in correspondence ]
(to the Editor.) Sir.—l notice with regret, that within the last few weeks there are few issues of your paper that your Waiorongomai correspondent has not complained of the conduct ofthohoys of this place, and if all tha.fyour correspondent has sa'd of these boys be true, it is evident that what he writes Concerning them does not lessen their desire to commit further offences. I ain not at all desirous of becoming champion for the Waiorongomai youths, but I think it hardly fair that your correspondent should persist in making general charges of stealing',' and other offences, against the young , hoys here, the majority of whom are as honest as will be found elsewhere. That a few of the ‘bright ’ youths here, are moreor less addicted to petty thievery, and impolite expressions, is a fact to be regretted, but, why tarnish the remainder with a tainted hand ? I am, etc,* B SIDFXT, Waiorongomai, *■' February 16th, 1895. .
