The twenty trucks from the Colonist tip crushed for 6oz. lldwt. retorted gol 1 hardly good enough to warrant further trial.
In the Palace twenty feet have been sunk and a similar distance driven. The reef is 3 to 4ft. wide but hardly good enough to take out in bulk ; there is however a nice leader varying from 1 inch to 1 foot, averaging perhaps 3 to 4 inches, carrying nice gold, though none can he seen in the solid stone, on pounding y ou get it as large as duck shotm the dish. If this was not touched in the old May Queen workings tWmprobaWy a piled-i it, but I tea*r Hormbrook took it out.
