TE AROHA TOWN BOARD .
The ordinaiy monthly meeting of the Town Board was held in the Domaip~|}wildings on Saturday last, the'l2th lust. Mr Gavin (chairman) and all members present. •; The minutes of ordinary and. public meetings were adopted. Mr Gallagher was present and asked the Chairman that his presence as a member of the Board be acknowledged at tbe meeting. The Chairman replied that he certainly would'not recognize Mr Gallagher as a member of the Board. As a ratepayer ho had a right to be present, but he would not take any note of it. / . Mr Gallagbor replied: ‘ That’s all right. I’m perfectly satisfiedJk A leitei’ was receive, Commissioners co uld^noTgrant a daily train, service to Te Aroha, *as it was not practicable at present. Bog Tax.— The"dog tax was fixed at the same as last year. The clerk was instructed to obtain collars' from Mr Mclhdbe; 3 v.--1 , - 7 Com Bradley proposed, and Com Hotchin seconded, that Thursday afternoon be adopted as the weekly halfholiday in accordance with the Shop and Shop Assistants’ Act. Carried. r , The clerk reported from Morgantown for half-year ending November 30 th* Residence sitesj £25 5 18s 4d ; gold; revenue, £27 19s 3d- ‘ business sites, £4 4s 2d : - total £SB Is 9d.
