The Czar has published an order in the Russian “ Gazette,” stating that the rumours that the Grand Duke Alexis had been deposed in favour ot Vladimir, are without warrant.
Mr Stanhope, Secretary for War, has announced in tho House of Commons that Sir R. Buffer succeeds Lord Wolseley ae Adjutnnt-Geneial, »nd Sir F. Roberta remains in India for two .years.
