Thames, July 2. MaritotoG. andS.M. Co.—The manager of this mine arrived at Grahamsbown last evening from Paeroa, with 1,730 ounces of bullion, being the result of a second cleaning up at tho Company's reduction plant. The yield is the product of 50 tons of second-class argentiferous and half a bon of first-class stuff. The bullion from the previous month's return was worth 8s per ounce, but this should be of little better quality. The Reuben Parr reef still maintains its promising appearance, 201 b of picked stone being secured last week. Tho return this month will not be so large as formerly, in consequence of the surface dirt being poor and the picked stone nob of quite as good quality. Norfolk (Tararu). Driving has been continued on the California reef, and prospecting has been - Carried on in the cross-lode. Tho reef east still looks remarkably well, and keeps an average size of three feet. Some of the poorest looking ore assayed at a value of £22 per ton. Freedom. —During the past week 15 feet have been driven in the eastern drive, making a total distance of 152 feet.
