Mr Thomas Gaunt, the well-known jeweller cf Melbourne, is dead. The deceased was a regular attendant at the principal race meetings, and officiated as timekeeper. The costly chronograph which stands at the back of the judge’s box at the Flemington racecourse was presented to the V.R.C. by the deceased gentleman.
