The New Zealand visitors to Sydney played the professional runners of that city a match at cricket. The professionals won by seven funs. The batting honours on the New Zealand side were shared between Garrard, P. Wood, and Reeves ; and on the side of the local runners between McAteer, Ball, Middlebrook, and Bowden. The chief bowlers on the New Zealand side were Lusk and P. Wood, the professional runners being well represented by E. Lazarus, O. Cowley, J. McGarrigal, and S. Bowden. The scores were small : 60 and 25 as against 46 and 32.
