Auckland, June 7. Messrs Hunter and Nolan’s Weekly Re port.— Grain, seeds, horsefcecl, etc.: (Quietness lias again characterised tho market, with little or no alteration in value. We quote : Oats, 2s to 2s 2d per bushel; bran, £3lss to £4 per ton ; oaten chaiF, £2los to £3. Horses: A steady demand has existed, and a moderate number has' been brought forward, and the previous week’s values were sustained. The number submitted at the Durham Yards was not so large as on the nrcvious week, but there was brisk bidding. We quote: Hacks, at from £4 15i to £9 10s; light harness horses, £4 10s to £ll lCs: draught, £7 to £lslos. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, etc.: Increased quantities were brought forward and pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, and there was keen competition for all lots. We quote: Ox hides, extra heavy, 4d to 5d per lb; stout ox, 3d to 4d; light and cow, l.ld to 2)d; calfskins, Zld to 4:jd; butchers’ sheepskins, 4s 4d to 03 9d; country, 2s to 3s 9d each; lambskins, 3s 9d to 4s 9d each; wool, in bags, 6-‘>d to 7d per lb; tallow, 17s to 19s 6d per cwt. Cattle : There has been an improved demand fer fat beasts, and an upward tendency in value; stores and dairy stock in demand at the previous week's values. There was rather a small muster at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, and lor tho season of the year there was a large muster at Papakura, and spirited demand, particularly for grown steers; steer beef sold at from 14s to Its per 1001 b ; cow. 12s to 14s; some averages of steers were : £6 17s 6d, £6 11s, £6 ss, £6 2s 6d, £5 15s, £5 2s 6d, £4 15s ; cows, £4, £3l2s 6d, £3 ss, £3, £2 12s 6d. Sheep were in less than usual numbers at Newmarket on Tuesday; the demand was strong, nud prices had an upward tendency at per stone, although 15s 3d was the top price reached for wethers, and from 9s to lla 9d for ewes ; mixed sexes, 11s 6d to 15s. 3d. Pigs: A good many were yarded, and prices were low, particularly for rough stores in low condition.

Buckland and Sons' Weekly Report. —At the Haymarket during the past week the sales have resulted as follows : Meadow hay. 2s 3d to 4s; oaten sheaves, 2s to 2s 6d per cwt; new maize, on wharf, 2s Sd per bushel; old maize, 3s 3d; oats, Is lOd to 2s 2d; onions, ;|d to Id per lb. At tiie hide and skin sale on Tuesday, cows sold at lid to 2d; calfskins, 31d to 41d ; ox hides, light, 2d to 2Jd; medium, 3d to'3fid; heavy, 4d to 4id; butchers skins, from 4s to 5s 2d; station skins, 2s to 4s each. Tallow, 16s to 19s 6d per cwt; horns. -Id each ; bones, £4 12s 6d; wool, 6:|d. Atßeinuera on Thursday dairy cattle were in full number and steady demand; prices ranged from £4 to £5 each; store cattle at late values. The working oxen were unsold. Fat cattle, in short supply, sold freely at a considerable advance; ox beef, steady at 16s per 1011 b. Hat sheep, in less than usual number, also advanced in price, yet a draft of unusually heavy wethers of choice quality were withdrawn. The ewes advertised brought from 8s to 12s each. Pigs in moderate numbers, were sold at late values. Messrs G. W. Binney and Sons report that at the usual weekly sale ot hides, skins, tallow, etc., a brisk demand was experienced lor all prime heavy and light hides, but medium weight and damaged hides continue low m price and dull of sale. We quote: Prime heavy ox, 4kl, 4 : |d, a few extra prime 5Jd Jto s;d ; medium heavy, 31-d to 3,d; light, 21a to 3d: heavy cow, 2(d; medium, H(1 to l:;d; local butchers’ green ox, 26s 6d: cow, 10s 6d; calf, 3)d to 4Ad; kip and yearlings. 2d to 3Jd per lb. Skins : A large supply to hand, and full attendance of buyers, but late average values hardly maintained—butchers’ green, 4s 9d to 5s sd; best country, 3sßd to 4slid; medium, 2s 2d to 3s 4d; pelts, lOd to Is lid; salted pelts, 2s to 2s (id each. Messks .Arthur and Buddlks Weekly Report.— The week has been a busy one m all departments; a good demand for all kinds of produce. Local potatoes do not move oft very freely, on account of Southern ones being in competition; could not clear out those on hand. Onions are quiet, at low prices. Vegetables have brought good prices. Fresh butter in short supply ; much more could have been sold to-day : The best lots sold at Sd to BAd. Salt butter of good quality is in limited domand only; inferior is difficult to sell at any price. Cheese of good sample in fair demand; some makers arc putting too high a price on. Good local-cured bacon and liaui3 are in demand at fair prices. Eggs are wanted. Honey: Stocks light, not a brisk demand. Fruit: Apples have come to hand in good quantity, and have sold at first-rate prices; the quality as a rule lias been very good—these have brought 2d to 2:;d. No pears entered. Lemons have been plentiful; supply greater than the dem*nd ; many were very small; prices have varied irom to lid per dozen. There are still some Sydney ones on the market. Poultry: The supply has been small, much below the average, howls made a much better average, although none realised a high price. Ducks brought good prices, also geese and turkeys. Pigs sold well; there were not a large number entered, white Yorkshire. 11s to 13s; halfbred, 11s; Berkshire, 10s to 10s 9d. Properties have been inquired after. The property of Mr Hammond, Arncy Road, Remuera, a residence and two acres of land, has been sold for £1,200. Flax: No arrivals this week ; it has been inquired after. Household furniture and eitfects have brought good prices at the mart and private house sales. Potatoes are still slow of sale at £3 for good tablo lots; new potatoes. Id per lb. Onions have been sold in parcels at an advance on last week's quotations. Wheat plentiful, at 2s lid to 3s: maize wanted, none to hand; oats dull at is 8d to Is lOd; bran, 4s to 4s 6d; sharps, ss. Pumpkins, good, 2s 9d to 3s; others, Is 6d to 2s; piemelons, 2s 9d to 3s ; citrons. 3s 6d; kumeras, 7s, Bacon and hams, local cure, a fair supply to hand; good well-got-up bacon made 71d : tiams, 7Ad. Cheese has moved of! slowly; market bare of good quality: farmers’, 3id to 4d; factory loaves, 3}d; and 4id for larger size, Butter: Fresh has been again in short supply, and better prices obtained—good, B}d ; medium, sri to 6ld: Taranaki, 7*d. Eggs : A fair supply to band, demand quiet at Is bd to 2s per dozen. Honey sold at 2Jd to 3d; white clover wanted at 3Ad. In the poultry department there was our usual large supply or very good quality, and prices showed an advance on last week’s quotations; first-class table fowls realised Is 7d to Is 10d; ordinary. Is 3d to Is 6d ; poor, Is to Is Id; roosters in condition. Is 9d to 2s 3d ; poor. Is to Is 30; geese, 3s 9d ; turkey liens. 2s to 3s 3d ; gobblers, 4s 6d to 6s 6d; guinea-fowl and chicks, 19s. Pigs: Large supply, better demand—best lots, 9s 6d to 103 lOd; others. 5s to 6s. Fruit: A good supply of local—apples. lAd to 21A ; pears, 144 to 2!d ; medlars, id; lemons, 7d to 9d per dozen; oranges, as per case, and 7d per dozen. Dead rabbits: Large supply, lOd to Is per pair. A consignment cf Southern flour and oatmeal >yas sold at £9 for flour and £lO for oatmeal in 52b bags.
