DISPERSAL OF THE HOBARTVILLE STUD

One of the mo3t famous of Australian breeding establishments has been dispersed this week in the Hobartville (N.S.W.) stud, and it will cause many in this colony to think of the palmy days when Maribyrnong reigned as lord of the stallion harem, and the fierce competition and high prices annually realised for the “ Fawn Family ” at the yearling sales. But of late years the glory of the stud departed from various causes—one of them being monetary— and the outcome was it broke the heart of Mr Andrew Toun, the proprietor, and ended in his death.
