; T& Aroha and : Ohi'ft&mm Ne-ivs Office \ Friday. | THAMES CATTLE MARKET, | At Fleming and C'o..’s weekly sale !of fat cattle which was held on the 21st inst., at their yards, Parawai, Thames. , They report: A fall' market were !yarded and all sol’d freely with the exception of a few pens of steers, being ; prime quality, winch were withdrawn |on account of the prices offered not jcoming up to vendors expectations. Those that were sold realised the following prices, L 5 16'S to LO each, being i equal to from 15s to 1 &s 6d per TOG* lb ; 'a few pens of light weights sold at much , less than the above quotations, sot being jof such good quality. Heifers sold at ! from L$ to L 4 10s each, being equal to from 12s 6d to 14s 6d per 100 lb, according to quality. Cows sold at from ,L 3. 2s 6'd to L 3 7s 6d each, being equal |to from 10s 0d to 11s 6d per 100 lb. 1 A full market of sheep were penned, and 1 sold as follows j Wethers, 14s 3d ; ewes, 11s to 12s } lambs, 8s 6d,
AUCKLAND MARKETS; Messrs* A. Ruckland and Son’s Weekly Report.—On Tuesday hides and skins were pitched m full numbers ; l>e»t heavy hides ranged irom 4d to 4jd per lb ; sound ordinary ox hides from 3d upwards cow hides, 14d to. 2d ; damaged hides, from Jd to per lb j sheepskins were firm ; butchers' skins ranged from 4s to 5s Id ; station skins, 2s to 4s each j tallow, 14's to 19s per cwt. At Itenmera on Thursday dairv cattle were in moderate supply, and fair demand at late values • good animals brought from L 4 10s to L 5 Ids each ; store cattle of all classes ndvnneed in values. Fat cattle, in, lesß than usual mini her, were lower ; prices ranged from 13s to I 4« per 1001 b. And were steady throughout the sale. Sheep in full number, sustained last week’s values ; long-wnolad two-toothed wethers were from 12s Cd to 14s ; four and six-tooth merinos, 6s 6d £fat ewes. 9s to 11s ; shorn lambs, 8s 6'd each. Well-bred fat pigs sold well, but coarse pigs were yarded far in exceed of requirement Mnaay hundred; scdd; prices very regular.
