Result of the Ballot.
Christchurch, May 16. The following is the result, so far, of the Railway Society’s ballot re the adoption of the “extreme measure” in the event of such being deemed necessary by the Executive:—Oamaru branch, 130 for, 6 against ; Greymouth, 71 for, none against; Nelson, 33 for, 3 against. These, with the Canterbury voting, give a total to date of 975 for, and 53 against. ' ;
