CANTERBURY TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

Chrittchurch, May 3. At a meeting of the Canterbury Trotting Association last night, after a discussion, it was resolved that the Metropolitan clubs affiliated to the New Zealand Trotting Association be not required to submit their programme, and that they be empowered to pass all programmes containing their respective provincial districts, provided the necessary fees are paid to the Association id accordance with the rules. Opinions were strongly expressed adverse to the present mode of granting totalisator permits, and it was decided that a sub-committee be appointed, consisting of the delegates present, to go thoroughly into the present system of granting totalisator licenses.
