Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.—Grain, horse feed, seeds, etc.: Theresas been an improved demand, and the quantities brought forward have been adequate. We quote oats 2s to 2s2d per bushel; maize, 2s lOd to 3s per bushel; bran, £4 per ton; oaten chaff', £2los to £3 per ton. Horses : A steady demand has existed at late values, and there remained an unsatisfied inquiry for those of a good stamp in the hack and light harness class. There was an average muster at the Durham Yards on Friday for sale by auction, and most of the lots were cleared. We quote hacks at from £4 10s to £1110s; light harness aud medium draught, from £5 10s to £l6. Wool, hide 3, skins: ;< o wool was disposed of at the Durham Yards on Tuesday. Heavy ox hides were in brisk demand at from 4td to 5Jd; light and cow, lid to 2d ; damaged, Id to 3d per lb ; calfskins, 3d to 4£d per lb. Good sheep in brisk demand, at from 2s lid to 4a 9d each ; Jamb skins, from 3s Id to 03 6d; pelts, Is 5s to Is lOd. Cattle: Moderate quantities have been brought forward, and found purchasers at fully the previous week’s values. There was an average number yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday. Dairy cows were fairly represented and well competed for, but few stores were disposed of, and scarcely the usual number of fat beasts met steady competition at fully the previous week’s values, prices ranging for steers, 14s to 17s 6d per 1001 b; cows, 12s to 14s; some averages of steers were, £7l2s 6d, £7 3s 6d, £6 193 2d, £6 12s 6d, £6 2s 9d, £5 10s 9d; cows, £4lss, £4l2s 6d, £4loa, £4 2s 6d, £3l7s 6d, £3los. Sheep: There was a good muster at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, and competition was keen throughout the sale. Wethers sold at 12s 6d to 18s 6d ; ewes, 10s 6d to 14s 6d; lambs, 7s to 9s. Pigs: In moderate supply and good demand at from 2d to 3d per lb live weight. Messrs A. Buckland and Sons’ Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket during the past week fodder has remained at late values, ranging from 2s 6d to 3s 3d the cwt; maize, 3s to 3s sd; oats, 2s Id to 2s 2d; wheat, 2s lid; barley, 23 lid; ryegrass, 5s 6d; cocksfoot, 6s 6d the bushel; chaff, £3 ss; potatoes. £2 12s the ton. At the horse sale on Friday bidding was dull, and many remained unsold, but those sold kept their late values. Well-bred unbroken riding horses brought from £l4 to £l6; good springcart horses, £lO to >l4; useful horses or all classes, £5 to £8 each. At the hide and skin Bale, on Tuesday, picked oxhides brought up to 4gd ; good ordinary ox, 3}d to 4d; light ox, 2d to 2}d; cowhides, ljd to 2Jd; calfskins, 3d to 4}d the lb; tallow, 17s the cwt; loose fat,lid the lb. Wool sold better than of late, and brought from 6id to 73d the lb; pelts. Is Id to 4s lOd; lambskins, 2s lid to 3s 5d each. At the regular country cattle sales, held respectively at ■ Pukekohe and Papakura, stocks wore in less numbers than usual. For useful dairy cows, near calving, there was a good inquiry. All other classes were at late valU'-s. At Rcmuera on Thursday dairy cattle, yarded in full numbers, were dull of sale; those of choice quality and at their profit, were the only ones competed for. Prices ranged from £2 to £5 each. Store cattle advertised were not forwarded. Fat cattle in full numbers were, at beginning of sale, higher than last week, but fell as the sale proceeded. Prices ranged from 15s to 17s the 1001 b. Fat sheep, in average supply, were steady at last week’s values. Fat calves sold well, and a full market of fat pigs met with a satisfactory sale, but ill-condi-tioned store pigs were low in price. Averages of steers ranged from £5 11s to £7 4s ; ewes ranged from 9s 6d to 13s; wethers, 13s to 17s; lambs in their wool, 10s tol3s each. Messrs G. W. Binney and Sons’ Report.— On Tuesday we offered an extra large number of hides, skins, etc. The bulk of hides were medium and light weights, and sold well considering the large number of this class offering. Heavy ox and cow are in brisk demand both for local consumption and shipment. Heavy ox sell at extreme rates, and are very scarce at present. We quote:—Heavy stout ox. 4d to 4.3 d (no prime ottered); heavy (average 61b), 3kl to 4|d; heavy cow, 2d to 2id: medium of all clusses, ljd to 2d ; kip, l£d to 3d; calf, 3d to 4Jd; inferior and damaged, id to Id per lb. Sold one line of 261 ox at 3ijd per lb. Sheepskins : Values continue high. Cleared a catalogue of 1,036 at satisfactory prices. Local green longwools sold from 33 9d to 4s sd; crossbreds, 3s to 3s 7d; country salted, up to 3s 9d; very dry woolled, up to 4s 6d ; lambs, Is 6d to 5s each. Tallow: Best, 17s to 17s 9d ; medium, 14s to 15s; inferior, .. 10s to 12s per cwt; fat, Id to lid per lb. Bones, 6d per cwt; shanks, 5s per cwt. Potatoes: Waikatos, £3 15s to £4 per ton, with good demand. Butter: Stocks very heavy, and sales difficult to make; best Taranaki roll, 6d; seconds, 3d to 4d; really good salt inquired for up to 6d.

Kauri Gum.—The local gum market still continues firm for all good qualities. The supplies for the month of April were about 540 tons, and for the two days of May 81 tons. Poor ordinary is at about £3B per ton; fair ordinary, about £4O to £4l; best quality, £42; East Coast. £55 to £56. Manures. -Bonedust, Sydney,£7 to £7los, according to quality; boneiiour, £7 to £8; Auckland, £7; Long Island do., £4los, bags included: superphosphate, first quality, £7 tc £8 10s; second quality, £6 to £6los.
