Auckland, April 9. At a meeting of the Committee of the Auckland Club, held yesterday afternoon, the following resolutions were brought up and passed unanimously : 1. That in future no programme that Contains a pony or a trotting race shall be passed by the Club. 2. If any Club, after the Auckland Racing Club has approved of its pro'graihirid. should add a pony race and allow such to be'run on its course, such Club shall not be longer recognised by the Auckland Racing Club. The resolutions have to again come up for confirmation at a future meeting on the first Wednesday in May. The name of the purchaser of the two-year-old colt Leolantis has not transpired, bub he will remain in G. Wright’s care. Mr J. Marshall has resigned the chairmanship of Auckland Tattersall’s Club owing to a recent election. The Colonel, the hurdle racer for which Mr Bobbett recently paid something like 250 guineas, was sold as a yearling, for £3. A Sydney cablegram states that at a sale of yearlings, held yesterday, the highest price, was obtained for a colt by Hewminster.Af Estelle, 1 fpr which 610 guineas was paid! -The-'priri’cJpafc buyers were the agent for-the Maharajah of Behar, in India, and Messrs D. S. Wallace and ML O’Shannasy, of Victoria. “ Augur,” in chronicling the departure of Medallion and Scots Grey from Melbourne, says :—“As a two-year-old Medallion is. certainly not first-class, but he is undoubtedly a good colt- susceptible of improvement, and with Titan out of the wayhe might have a show for the Derby.” The English jockey T: 'Loates will thisyear receive £1,500 from Mr Milner for firstcall on his services, whilst Mr Blundell Maple will give him £750 for second. Not so bad for a lad 21 years of age; •
