A meeting of shareholders in the Blanche Goldmining Company was held yesterday, at which Mr M. Niccol presided. Various reports were read and adopted, also a statement of the accounts since 1886, the mine having been on tribute. Mr John Buckland commented on the fact that although the mine had been on tribute £323 16s lOd was set down as general charges. Mr R. McDonald Scott explained that it included rents, etc. He had only drawn £92 11s as salary eince 1886, so that £6B was still owing to him. Messrs J. Buckland and C. M. Calder were elected directors, and Mr T. A. Menzies auditor. The mine manager, Mr John Carter, having resigned, Mr Thomas Mangan was appointed to that position. A favourable report as to the prospects of the mine was forwarded by Mr Carter, and read to the shareholders.
