Dolosa led into the straight, where Montrose came away with a rush, making a great effort to secure first honours ; but the filly, maintained her position, winning a good race by three-quarters of a length. Antelope, Dolosa, Macaroni, and Fishmonger also started. After several attempts to get away, a straggling start was made. , Loch Ness led all the way, and although Boulanger ran determinedly, and made up his ground well, he could not put himself on equal terms with Loch Ness, who won comfortably.
