AGRICULTURAL STATISTICS.
Timabu, March 25. The agricultural statistics of the three counties of South Canterbury show the total holdings to be 1,851, of which 1,086 are freehold. Wheat, 64,150 acres, 1,836,359 bushels ; oats, 56,234 acres. 2,189,266 bushels; barley. 3,311 acres, 115,852 bushels ; potatoes, 1,623 acres, 8,202 tons; turnips, 54,492 acres; other crops, 2,061 acres; in grasses after plough, 385,912 acres. The pld produce in hand is wheat, 117,301 bushels; .oats, J 14.350 bushels; ■barley, 6,250 bushels,
