There are sixty shareholders. THE STRIKE IN AUCKLAND. The carter’s strike is extending. Craig’s men have gone out and the Kauri Timber Company’s men have asked for an increase of wages, THE LIBEL CASE—HUMPHREYS Y. THE OBSERVER NEWSPAPER. The Supreme Court Criminal Sessions opened to-day. The cases dealt with were only of local interest. The Bill was withdrawn iii the case of the proprietors of the Observer, charged with criminal libel.
