Auckland, March 8. Messrs Arthur and Buddle's Weekly- Rerout.—A fairiy busy week in all departments. Potatoes have moved off fairly well, and more of good sample could have heeix disposed of. Many to hand are inferior samples, Onions sold at fair prices at the early part of the week, and the supply was not equal to the demand. Pumpkins have brought fair prices. Vegetables ot all kinds ai’e scarce. Fresh bxuter of good quality lias sold wel 1 , but salt is still dull. Cheese is ouict at about last week’s prices. Good bacon is wanted, but inferior is difficult to move oil’ at any pri :e. Kumeras have gone off freely. Fruit lias come to hand in lai’ge quantity. Three .sal s by auction have been ho d. Plums have been scarce, and prices have ruled high for those in good condition. Pears of the best description have sold at high prices. Some growers have held 100 long, and these have come to hand in bad rendition, tlicreß re prices have been low. Quinces have, been more plentiful : prices lower. Lemons : Not a large, quantity to liaml; la go samples have brought a fair price. Apples remain about tire • ame as last week. S me growers have not been careful in packing, putting small and damaged with the good; this is a gi’oat mistake. Poultry has come to hand in larger number than last week ; fowls have averaged a little lower; ducks, a shade bettex’, but there were no first-class lots; no goese or turkeys entered. Pig 3: N'ot a large number entered, but prices were lower than list week, but few buyers; feed is getting scarce. East Coast is in good demand, and is firm at £55 At present gum supplies are heavy. The supplies for last month were 645 tons, and for the month of March to date 140 tons. Manures.
