PUHIPUHI SILVERFIELD PROCLAIMED UNDER THE MINING ACT.

The Gazette of March 6th contains the Proclamation of Puhipuhi as a raining district under the Mining Act of 1886, as from that date. The general description of the district is as follows : —Bay of Islands County as far north as Omapere Lake across to Waitangi, and Whangarei County a 9 far south as Mangapai. The Government land within these boundaries has been withdrawn from sale or selection.
