Thames, February 12, Trenton. —Driving has been begun eastward on the footwall reef, The fqatiwaU lode westward is now being broken dawn, Queen. —The drive east on No. 4 IpYSI is now in a distance of 123 feet. The lode has improved within the last few feet. In the face of the drive it is about twelve inches in thickness. There is some nicelooking mineral through the quartz. The country on both walls of the lode is everything that could be desired for gold. Lone Hani>. —The General Chute drive at the low level is still going through a good class of country. The lode in the face of the drive is about 9 inches thick, and some good mineral shows through the quartz. Gold ha? beep_ seen when breaking, down . the }ode. In the drive east on No. I leader there is ni,ca. looking, mineral shotKtag through ibfi. ‘Rv the No. 2 leader, and in tfie- topth sidp® Post Manchester seetiou, odlours af gold have boon seen freely when breaking down the quartz. Nice-looking mineral is showing in the other stopes.
