THE BULGARIAN PLOT.
A RUSSIAN CONSPIRACY. DOUBLE MURDER PLANNED. Sofia, February 7. It is reported that the Bulgarian conspirators intended to effect the recall of Prince Alexander, or petition the Czar to nominate a ruler for the tryIt has transpired that Prince Ferdinand offered to abdicate, but was opposed by his Ministers. The Panitza conspiracy implicates many cavalry officers, and the Prefect of Police at Sofia. The conspiracy was mainly directed against M. Stambouloff, President of the Council and Minister of the Interior. It is reported at Sofia that M. Zankoff and M. Mathejeff entered into a conspiracy at St. Petersburg in the autumn, receiving from the Russian Panslavist Society to. depose Prince Ferdinand and murder M. Stambouloff, the recognised head of the anti-Russian party in Bulgaria. M. Mutkuroff and many Zankoffists have fled to Servia. BENZON REPENTANT. London, February 8. Benzon has been further remanded for a week on a charge of forgery. He is said to cry freely over his misfortunes. RUSSIAN CONVERSION LOAN. Paris, February 8. A Russian Conversion Loan of fourteen millions will be issued at Paris on the 20th inst.
