ZELANDAIA'S JUBILEE.

189 0. (By W. R. Wills.) Recitative. Sing to the Lord A joyful song of praise. This Jubilee of pride— This 1 happy day of days. His mighty hand has been our Guide Across the raging sea; His grace and love with us abide To bless our Jubilee! Praise ye the Lord, Our Guide, our Guard— This golden Jubilee. Our voices shall blend with the joyful keys Of the organ’s splendid soul; As wavelets of song, o’er beautiful seas, So our Jubilee anthems roll. And we’ll shout, shout, shout From city and village and glen, A chorus of love, With the coo of the dove. And a glorified great Amen! A chorus of love To the Father above. And a glorified prayer—Amen! Cur anthems shall ring with the Master’ prais Who hath been our guard and guide; And well smite the bells till each tower sways With love for this beautiful bride. And we’li shout, shout, shout! For this bride of the Southern sea— This fair royal bride That is kissed by the tide That rolls from the coraline sea; For the coraline tide That kisses the bride On this day of her Jubilee.

The poets of God shall sing us a song As they bend o’er golden strings, So rich and rare, as the angel throng Or an uncrown’d laureate sings. And we’ll shout, shout, shout A chorus of love o’er the land, That the world in amaze Shall join the praise. And bless her on every hand. This day of all days Shall blazon with praise Of this beautiful sun-kiss’d land. The zephyr’s at play o'er the mountains steep, Rehearsing beautiful themes. The north winds are waking the lilies from And telling them fairy-land dreams; And we’ll shout, shout, shout, As the north winds roam o’er the land. And the zephyr’s at play. With the silvery spray That kisses the golden strand; For the'silvery spray That loves to play On the shores of this golden land. The emerald fields of the noble pine Laugh out with a joyous lay. And the opaline dawn sings songs divine To welcome the god of day ; And we’ll shout, shout, shout. This day of all days of the world— Whilst the bloom of the trees Shall laugh with the breeze. As their showers of snows are hurl’d, By the sun-laden trees, That come from the seas. This day of all days of the world ! Our fathers came o’er in their white-winged ships. From lands of the true and free, With their brave true hearts, and quivering lips, For the land of the coral sea. And we’ll shout, shout, shout For these brave true hearts of ours, For these true men bold. And their hearts true gold, Who have braved the darkest hours; Men truer than gold Were these heroes hold. Who conquered the darkest hours. True-hearted and brave, they have built us a throne For freedom to reign as king ; Where a man shall reap of the wealth we own. And merrily work and sing. And we’ll shout, shout, shout For this realm of the coral sea. Where the sunbeams smile On a brave man’s toil In this nation of —“ yet to he.” The land where we toil And shall reap its smile, In this realm of the coral sea. The fifty brave years of our nation’s life Have fled with the buried past; Yet not unscath’d, for with tempest and strife Were her altars of Hope o’ercast. But we’ll shout, shout, shout For the cities that grace her plains For the rose-clad vales And the sylvan dales, And her ships on the coral mains; For her fiow’ry vales And her rose-clad dales, And the cities that grace her plains. Our voices shall"blend, with the joyful keys Of the organ’s splendid soul, And wavelets of song o’er beautiful seas For our Jubilee anthems roll. And we’ll shout, shout, shout For this bride of the Southern sea. This fair royal bride That is kiss'd by the tide That rolls from the coraline sea; For the coraline tide That kisses the bride On this day of her Jubilee t
