LATE CABLES.
ACCIDENT TO LORD PHIPPS Brisbane, Jan. 30. Lord Hervey Phipps was thrown from his horse here to-day, and is now in a precarious condition. Melbourne, Jan. 30 The Victorian Government have re* ceived a cablegram conveying the information that influenza is transmittable by mail matter, or other packages.
