Mb Josiaii Tu.'chen, Gisborne, makes the following entry in the Visitors’ Book at the Domain Board’s office :—“ I brought Mrs Tuichen here quite helpless, so much so that I had to carry her out of her bedroom to the bath chair. By the end of the first week her health had so much improved that she was not only able to proceed to the baths by herself but able to walk about the grounds without assistance. The improvement continued durthe second week, anl by the Tend of the third week her health was so restored through the use of the baths that we left for home, as she believed herself quite cured -from that painful affliction—rheumatic fever. The bath used by Mrs Tutchen was No. 2, with electric battery; No, 3 bath-house.” Fbom MbWm. Haddow, J.P„ of Nelson : ‘ Allow me to add my testimony to the value of the Te Aroha Hot Springs. A fortnight ago I arrived here, suffering from insomia. I was advised to begin by using No. 6 bath. This I continued to do for the first few days, taking a bath both morning and evening. Latterly I have used No. 2 bath, and this, combined with the admirable shower baths and drinking the mineral water, has had a beneficial effect upon my health, which I am glad to say has been thoroughly restored. I am convinced the merits of your springs and mineral waters only require to be more widely known to begreatly appreciated and patronised by numbers of of visitors and invalids who as are yet unacquainted with their wonderful curative properties,”
